Considering the population and the budget, Estonia allocates more money to Finno-Ugrians in Russia than Finland and Hungary, Tõnu Seilenthal, the head of the Estonian delegation at the Finno-Ugrian world congress, said.
Seilenthal noted that Estonia does not need to be ashamed of the relations with Finno-Ugrians in Russia, postimees.ee writes.
The programme of the Finno-Ugrian and related nations receives EEK 5 mln a year from the Estonian state budget.
