European space industry waits Estonian companies

European Space Agency’s two projects GMES and GALILEO allow Estonian companies to develop plenty of smart applications in agricultural, environmental, health and internal security field and in addition, in tourism sector, aripaev.ee writes.
Kristo Reinsalu, the consultant at innovation consulting company Invent Baltics, said that the GALILEO an GMES satellites change planety of our everyday actions significantly by adding tens of services that turn our lives more convenient and faster. But the main question is, whether our public sector, scientists and companies have interest and willingness to see the possibilities in doing business in space technology’s billion projects or not, Reinsalu added.
According to Reinsalu, those, who begin inventing and offering services based on space technology now, are the winners.
The preparation of Estonian companies for participating in space industry’s development projects begins in July.
