After a calm walk we wait for the economic growth to speed up latest in 2009, Annika Paabut, macro analyst at Hansabank, said.
According to Paabut, Estonian economic growth was very fast from the middle of 2004. The reasons for that were the growth of living standard and financial liberalization. As a result, private consumption and household investments grew and at the same time the demand of imported goods increased, postimees.ee mediated Maaleht.
Paabut said that now they are waiting companies' re-orientation on the foreign markets. While the domestic demand has decreased, the export’s growth is highly important for the economy’s further development.
