Estonian nationalistic associations disapprove President Toomas Hendrik Ilves’ statement in television as highly irresponsible and Estonian national interests damaging.
Ilves announced yesterday that our goal is to achieve the boundary agreement with Russia and he would lose the unnecessary citing to Treaty of Tartu from the preamble, against what Ilves has always been, postimees.ee writes.
Nationalists cite that Estonia has a nationally acknowledged and valid boundary agreement signed in 1920.
“Estonia does not need a new agreement. Ilves’ accepted goal to legalize criminal occupation and annexation in Estonia can only be Russia’s goal,” the nationalists said.
