  New Estonian government approved
BBC News
April 12, 2005

Andrus AnsipThe Baltic state of Estonia has a new government three weeks after former Prime Minister Juhan Parts resigned.

Its new prime minister, Andrus Ansip, 48, of the centre-right Reform Party, won approval from parliament and the president on Tuesday.

His three-party coalition is expected to lower taxes and sell off state companies, but not to change the former Soviet republic's foreign policy.

Mr Ansip's government will have a slim majority in the 101-seat parliament.

Mr Parts resigned on 24 March after parliament passed a vote of no confidence in his justice minister.
